Spirit Airlines and Frontier Group are merging to become one carrier in a US$6.6 billion deal. The new carrier has ambitions to compete with “the big four” airlines and will offer 1,000 daily flights to over 145 destinations in 19 countries. O’Melveny is representing both Spirit and Frontier on all labor issues related to the deal. The O’Melveny team includes aviation industry group co-chair Robert Siegel and partners Chris Hollinger and Aparna Joshi.
