Law360: Mass. AG Can’t Snag Midtrial Win In Airlines’ Leave Law Row

US District Judge Allison D. Burroughs denied Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey’s motion for judgment on Airlines for America’s suit claiming that the Massachusetts Earned Sick Time Law is unconstitutional and causes flight delays and cancelations. Airlines for America said that they provide “generous sick leave benefits because we know the value to employees,” and that the trial “is about whether airlines can utilize guardrails that hold employees accountable for attendance.” Airlines for America is represented by Chris A. Hollinger, Kristin MacDonnell, Robert A. Siegel, and Karen Gillen of O’Melveny & Myers LLP.
