Law360: O’Melveny Adds Former CFPB Lawyer To Fintech Practice

Melissa Guidorizzi, an attorney who has spent the last eight years working on enforcement matters for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, has joined O’Melveny as counsel in the firm’s fintech and financial services practice groups, Law360 reported.
“The pace of changes to payments and new products is at an inflection point in financial services,” said Guidorizzi, adding that she’s ready to help clients keep up with the evolving fintech landscape.
“Bringing Melissa on board is a sign of the investment O’Melveny has made in its payment practice,” commented Laurel Loomis Rimon, a partner at O’Melveny and fellow CFPB alum. Guidorizzi’s expertise in policy, strategy, and consumer protection will be an “invaluable asset” to clients, she added.
