Law360: O’Melveny Attys Create Diversity Scholarship For UCI Law

A group of O’Melveny lawyers have established the O’Melveny & Myers LLP Diversity Scholarship at the University of California, Irvine School of Law for first-year law students. “Our hope is we will provide opportunities to diverse incoming students at UCI, and they will go on to be successful in the practice of law in Orange County, at O’Melveny & Myers LLP or elsewhere,” said Amy Laurendeau, managing partner of O’Melveny’s Newport Beach office. Partner Brett Williamson said that, “Serving and improving the communities in which we practice is a central tenet of our firm, and we believe that broader access to legal education is essential — especially for diverse and underrepresented students.”
