O’Melveny & Myers LLP is among a group of law firms that have committed to providing legal guidance to anyone seeking access to or providing abortions in New York through an abortion hotline. The hotline, which was spearheaded by New York Attorney General Letitia James’ Pro Bono Task Force on Reproductive Health, will be free and available in 12 different languages. It will provide information to patients, health care providers, and anyone requesting information about abortion rights in the state. The action follows the US Supreme Court’s decision last week in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that overturned the constitutional right to abortion established in Roe v. Wade.
