In under 30 days O’Melveny launched two new Texas offices in Austin and Dallas to expand their restructuring, intellectual property, and corporate practices, Law360 Pulse reported.
The publication spoke to O’Melveny partner Lou Strubeck about the new Dallas office and plans for its growth. “Dallas is the place where everybody wants to be,” Strubeck said. “Right now, I think the focus is on Dallas, for a lot of reasons, the most important of which I think is the economy.” Strubeck noted that with a substantial base of large existing companies and infux of high tech companies relocating there, Dallas is rife with opportunity. “In the M&A space, and with the explosion of commercial real estate development in Dallas, I think that the opportunities are great for a firm like O’Melveny with such a wonderful national reputation to come in,” Strubeck told Law360 Pulse.
The article also highlighted Strubeck’s national practice and work with an array of large retail companies such as JCPenney, Neiman Marcus, and Brazos Electric.
