Law360: Texas Jury Clears Investment Firm In US$1.2B Pension Suit

A Texas state court jury cleared the Townsend Group of claims that it cost the Dallas Police & Fire Pension System US$1.2 billion in damages by not disclosing certain investment risks. In a complete defense verdict, the jury cleared Townsend of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty claims. Townsend and its employees are represented by David Marroso, Cassandra Seto, and Kristin C. Cope of O’Melveny & Myers LLP.
