Mergers & Acquisitions: The Infrastructure Bill’s Impact on PE: What’s at Stake?

O’Melveny partners Eric Richards and Elizabeth Dubeck were quoted in this article exploring how further delays in the passage of the nation’s US$1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill could impact investment activity. 

The publication noted that “firms are already girding for investment in infrastructure, whether legislation passes or not.”

Highlighting the opportunities for companies outside of the traditional construction industry, Richards noted that “development, design and consulting firms will benefit from infrastructure spending” because “[e]ven assets entirely owned by governments can rely on private sector expertise.” Dubeck added to the list those companies that “can facilitate environmental compliance” across projects, development, and operations, given the Biden administration’s “directive to make projects more environmentally friendly.”
