The National Law Journal: At ‘Critical Time,’ Merrick Garland Says He’s Eager to Serve as Attorney General

President-elect Biden confirmed he will nominate O’Melveny partner Lisa Monaco to serve as Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice. Monaco was a top aide to Robert Mueller during his tenure as FBI Director and she later led the Justice Department’s National Security division in the Obama administration, The National Law Journal reported.

Biden said Monaco would restore the “integrity and independence of the Justice Department you so revere.”
