Reuters: Meta Sues Snap for Documents to Fight FTC’s Facebook Antitrust Suit

Meta Platforms Inc filed a request in Los Angeles federal court for Snap Inc to turn over internal corporate documents that it needs to fight antitrust claims brought by the US Federal Trade Commission. The FTC’s lawsuit accuses Meta of abusing its market power. Meta said that the records “include information about how Snap viewed Meta’s acquisitions of photo-sharing site Instagram in 2012 and the messaging platform WhatsApp in 2014.” Catalina Joos Vergara of O’Melveny represents Meta.
