Reuters: O’Melveny & Myers LLP Adds Energy Dealmaker Amid Firm’s Texas Growth

O’Melveny has hired energy dealmaker Monica Hwang as a partner in its project development & real estate practice group and energy industry group. O’Melveny opened offices in Dallas and Austin this past year and Hwang noted that the partner additions in Dallas were a big draw for her. She said her energy project development practice has benefitted from financial restructuring expertise and that she is also looking forward to working with the O’Melveny partners in Austin. “The presence in Texas opens our platform to a great number of new clients and new areas, particularly with the skill set of experience that Monica brings us – commercial transactions in the energy space as well as project development,” O’Melveny corporate department co-chair Eric Richards said.
