Reuters: O’Melveny Opens Third Texas Office in a Year With Houston Addition

O’Melveny has launched a third office in Texas after announcing its expansion into the Houston market earlier today. Three transactional partners from Willkie Farr & Gallagher will join O’Melveny partner Monica Hwang in the firm’s new Houston office. “We are fully committed to Texas,” O’Melveny corporate department co-chair C. Brophy Christensen said. “We go where our clients need us, and today that means Houston.” The new Houston-based partners—who specialize in M&A, capital markets, and other financial transactions—include Angela Olivarez, Steve Torello, and Ryan Cicero. Since opening its first Texas offices last summer, O’Melveny now has 47 attorneys in the Lone Star state, including 20 partners.
