Reuters: O’Melveny Snags Locke Lord’s Capital Markets Co-Chair in Austin

O’Melveny & Myers LLP has hired former Locke Lord capital markets co-chair Michelle Earley as a partner in its Austin office. Earley spent almost 24 years at Locke Lord and will be joining five former Locke Lord partners who moved to O’Melveny in January. “I’ve worked across all sorts of industries: energy, technology, outdoor media, insurance, retail, and so I’m looking forward to continuing to have a diverse array of clients.” Earley said. O’Melveny now has 44 attorneys in Texas following its expansion into the Lone Star state last summer. Earley, who advises on securities offerings, M&A deals, and corporate governance, noted that her practice will focus on multiple sectors as the city of Austin continues to be in “growth mode.”
