S&P Global: CJ ENM to buy majority stake in Endeavor Content’s scripted unit for US$775M

South Korean entertainment company CJ ENM is buying an 80% stake in Endeavor Content for nearly US$1 billion. The deal, which includes management rights, has an enterprise value of US$850 million and implies a “post-money equity valuation” of US$970 million. The acquisition is expected to help CJ ENM boost its global presence and content distribution channels. O’Melveny serves as legal advisor to CJ ENM.
