On December 7, 2021, the US Supreme Court will hear United States v. Taylor, a case where the government is appealing “the Fourth Circuit ruling that attempted robbery under the Hobbs Act is not a predicate ‘crime of violence’ under the Armed Career Criminal Act.” Former Deputy US Solicitor General Michael Dreeben, who has argued before the US Supreme Court 106 times, will argue for the defense making this his second of the term. Dreeben now serves as co-chair of O’Melveny’s White Collar Defense & Corporate Investigations Practice.
