Tampa Bay Business Journal: Rays Stadium News: Tampa Sports Authority to File Report on Full and Half Season Scenarios

The Tampa Sports Authority will present two reports to the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County on the Tampa Bay Rays’ plan to build a new baseball stadium in Ybor City, Florida. The new stadium would have some 27,000 seats and cost around US$700 million, according to the Rays. The Tampa Sports Authority hired Irwin Raij to analyze the economic impact the stadium would have on areas such as ancillary retail, commercial, and housing development.
