O’Melveny has expanded its Texas team with the addition of Monica Hwang as a partner in its project development & real estate practice group and energy industry group. Hwang said she was attracted to O’Melveny’s reputation and strong projects team. She advises clients on infrastructure projects and commercial transactions that have included Freeport LNG’s US$14 billion export terminal, Total’s US$20 billion Mozambique LNG project, and Wheatstone LNG’s US$29.7 billion plant in Australia. Co-chair of O’Melveny’s corporate department Eric Richards said that Hwang gives the firm greater depth and reach to new clients in the energy industry.
