Texas Lawyer: O’Melveny Continues Texas Expansion With Locke Lord Partner in Austin

Former Locke Lord capital markets co-chair Michelle Earley has joined O’Melveny as a partner in its Austin office, bringing the firm’s Texas lawyer count to 44. Whit Roberts, one of five partners who joined O’Melveny from Locke Lord in January, said that Earley is a “top-tier practitioner who is just an extraordinary person as well” and a “great fit with the Texas offices.” Earley said that she is excited to join O’Melveny because it is a “world-class firm with top-notch talent.” O’Melveny chair Bradley Butwin noted that Earley “brings the valuable perspective of a diverse female partner and DE&I leader.” Earley advises public and private companies on securities offerings, M&A, financial disclosures, and corporate governance.
