Texas Lawyer: O’Melveny Launches Houston Office, Hires 3 Willkie Corporate Partners

O’Melveny & Myers LLP has launched an office in Houston with three corporate partners from Willkie Farr & Gallager, bringing the firm’s office count in the Lone Star state to three. The new partners, Angela Olivarez, Steven Torello, and Ryan Cicero, focus on M&A, private equity, capital markets and leveraged finance work. “We go where our clients need us, and today that means Houston. We’re pleased to be able to make strategic investments that help us better serve our clients’ needs,” O’Melveny corporate department co-chair C. Brophy Christensen said. O’Melveny chair Bradley Butwin said that the firm will continue to hire in Texas in areas including litigation, restructuring, M&A, intellectual property, and labor & employment. “We just don’t plant flags and open.
