The American Lawyer: Justice Is Served: Highlights From Big Law’s Year of Impactful Pro Bono

The American Lawyer selected 15 matters as part of this year’s Pro Bono Scorecard that “represent the very best of the legal industry’s pro bono efforts in 2022.” In February, Commonwealth Court President Judge Renée Cohn Jubelirer declared Pennsylvania’s educational funding system unconstitutional after a four-month trial. Six school districts sued the state in 2014 over claims that the public school funding model violated the education clause and equal protection provisions in the state’s constitution and discriminated against students in low-income districts. O’Melveny, along with the Education Law Center and Public Interest Law Center, represented the school districts.
