The American Lawyer: Wachtell, Gibson, Cleary, Simpson and O’Melveny Usher in US$61B Deal, Year’s Second Largest

O’Melveny, along with Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, represented semiconductor manufacturer Broadcom in its US$61 billion acquisition of VMware, an enterprise software company. It is the second largest deal of 2022 behind Microsoft’s US$75 billion bid to acquire Activision. The deal adds to Broadcom’s tech portfolio which includes CA Technologies and Symantec. The O’Melveny team was led by M&A partners Adit Khorana, Andrew Dolak, and Greta Lichtenbaum.
