The Fashion Law: The SEC is Reportedly Probing Yuga Labs Over Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs

The US Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating whether NFTs offered by Miami-based Yuga Labs are unregulated securities. According to O’Melveny & Myers LLP’s William Pao, Bill Martin, and Patrick Plassio, it is “unclear under what circumstances – if any – the SEC or a court would view NFTs as ‘securities.’”
