The Jan. 6 House committee confirmed that former Vice President Pence’s chief legal counsel Greg Jacob will testify on June 16. Jacob, who is a partner at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, previously testified before the committee where he detailed former President Trump’s lawyer John Eastman’s attempt to pressure Pence to block the 2020 presidential election results. “From my very first conversation with the vice president on the subject, his immediate instinct was that there is no way that one person could be entrusted by the framers to exercise that authority,” Jacob said. “And never once did I see him budge from that view.”
