Former counsel to FBI director James Comey and war crimes investigator, David Harbach, is joining O’Melveny’s white collar and corporate investigations group. “At each stage of my career—whether as a state prosecutor, an AUSA in New York and an investigator in The Hague—I have been fortunate to work in a wide variety of areas of the law; including violent crime, public integrity, corruption and war crimes, Harbach said. “I am hopeful that the combination of my trial skills and my varied experience will add value for O’Melveny’s clients.” The U.S. Navy veteran was searching for a firm that excels in litigation, values public service, and supports a healthy and thriving culture. “O’Melveny very readily checked all those boxes,” Harbach said. He was also impressed with the way O’Melveny treated its associates noting the type of ethos of a place where he would like to work. “I expect to be involved in advising clients on regulatory actions, internal investigations and also assisting clients on compliance issues. I hope to be an interface and advocate for clients, as well as serving in civil litigation matters.”
