The Recorder: O’Melveny Adds Private Equity Partner From McDermott in Los Angeles

O’Melveny & Myers LLP has added leveraging finance attorney Ike Chidi as a partner in its Century City office. Chidi will advise on investment and portfolio company transactions and focus on syndicated credit facilities, asset-based loans, and acquired financings. Chidi’s “arrival is the latest demonstration of our commitment to providing our private equity clients with the best service as they drive growth in California and around the nation,” O’Melveny chair Bradley Butwin said. Chidi’s past work includes representing investors and private equity funds for the acquisitions of an American brewing company, advising a distributor of custom-made area rugs, and representing companies operating specialty restaurants in international airports. Chidi is the firm's 14th corporate lateral hire in 2021.
