THR: Library Pictures to Co-Finance Slate of Korean-Language Films

Library Pictures International signed a three-year deal with New Entertainment World to produce a myriad of films in the South Korean film studio’s production pipeline, The Hollywood Reporter noted. O’Melveny served as legal advisor to Library in the deal.
The announcement is just the latest in a series of several newly announced Library collaborations with filmmakers across Asia, including studios in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Turkey.
“The partnership with Library will be a driving force in expanding opportunities for Korean storytellers and accelerate our overall growth,” said New Entertainment World film department president Kim Jae-min. “Leveraging NEW's existing production, financing and distribution capabilities, we are able to support the Korean film ecosystem on a larger scale, helping bring local creators and IP to the global entertainment arena.”
