Yahoo! Sports: Trail Blazers President Chris McGowan Resigns as Franchise Investigates GM Neil Olshey

Portland Trail Blazers president Chris McGowan has told the team that he is resigning, according to league sources. Former Trail Blazers Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President, Dewayne Hankins, will be promoted to president of the team effectively immediately. According to a statement released by the team, the transition will be effective on November 26. The franchise is currently investigating its General Manager Neil Olshey for allegedly creating a toxic and hostile work environment. After interviewing employees at the practice facility late last week, O’Melveny — the firm enlisted to investigate the claims — extended its investigation and is interviewing individuals outside of personnel at the practice facility, including former and current employees, sources said. That process was expected to last a few weeks.
