BTI Names Chanoine, Pensabene to its 2020 Client Service All-Stars List

February 3, 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK—February 3, 2021—BTI Consulting Group has selected partners Hannah Chanoine and Lisa Pensabene for its 2020 Client Service All-Stars list, which recognizes “the attorneys delivering the absolute best levels of client service — better than all others.”

This award is particularly notable because it is based entirely on unprompted feedback from a survey of general counsel. According to BTI, lawyers were selected through the consulting group’s ongoing Annual Survey of General Counsel, where BTI probed “more than 350 top legal decision makers at large organizations with $700 million or more in revenue.” Among other benchmarks, lawyers were selected based on their engagement and investment with clients, legal savvy, and ability to anticipate and prepare clients for potential future concerns.

Hannah Chanoine is a nationally-ranked litigator who focuses on defending and advising companies in class action matters in the trial and appellate courts, including MDL litigation. She regularly advises consumer packaged goods companies in nationwide false advertising cases and has represented leading manufacturers of coconut water, smart watches, whitening toothpaste, energy smart televisions, pet food, household cleaners, candy, flavored olive oil, Greek yogurt, personal care products, and a host of other consumer products. Hannah has been a member of the adjunct faculty at Columbia University School of Law for the last five years. Last year, she was recommended by The Legal 500 US for General Commercial Disputes.

Lisa Barons Pensabene, head of O’Melveny’s Life Science Litigation practice, handles high stakes patent litigation in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and chemical industries. A first chair trial lawyer with thirty years’ experience, she had led patent litigations in bench and jury trials, argued to the Federal Circuit, and led briefing to the US Supreme Court. The recipient of numerous accolades, Lisa remains most proud of clients’ continuing trust in the work of her team. Lisa was named Hatch-Waxman Litigator of the Year - Branded by LMG Life Sciences (2020), as well as being selected for Managing Intellectual Property’s global list of the “Top 250 Women in IP” (2018-2020). Lisa is a co-founder of WIN: Women in Intellectual Property Network.
