Geng Ke Named to China’s “A-List” of Elite 100 Lawyers

BEIJING—January 24, 2022—O’Melveny partner Geng Ke has been named one of China’s 100 Elite Foreign Lawyers by China Business Law Journal in its 2021 “A-List,” published today. This is the second consecutive year he has been awarded this recognition.
Managing partner of the firm’s Beijing office, Ke is noted by the publication for his dual capital markets and M&A practices, and is highlighted for his skill in the biotech Hong Kong IPO listing process.
In 2021, Ke led the O’Melveny capital markets team to complete nine Hong Kong IPOs. These transactions include representation of issuers such as Yonghe Medical Group, Brii Biosciences, Acotec Scientific, Keymed Biosciences, Shanghai Bio-heart Biological Technology and Gushengtang Holdings; as well as underwriters in connection with the listing of Shanghai Heartcare Medical Technology.
Ke earned a J.D. from Northwestern University in 2003. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he earned a B.S. degree from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from New York University.
As for the methodology to select Ke to the list, China Business Law Journal conducted this annual survey of legal practitioners, in-house counsel and corporate management, and received more than 2,000 nominations.
