Hannah Chanoine Named to Crain’s New York Business “Notable Women in Law”

NEW YORK—December 20, 2021—Crain’s New York Business has recognized partner Hannah Chanoine in its list of 2022 “Notable Women in Law,” which celebrates women lawyers who “were chosen not only for their skills and accomplishments in the courtroom, but for their leadership outside of it.”
Crain’s identified Chanoine as “the go-to consumer class-action defense lawyer for companies facing nationwide false advertising cases relating to everyday goods and services.” In her award profile, Crain’s noted that Chanoine counsels clients on strategies for mitigating risk during product and label development and represents leading manufacturers and retail distributors of an array of consumer products, including whitening toothpaste, high-definition televisions, coconut water, and Greek yogurt. The publication also highlighted Chanoine’s leadership of the O’Melveny team that won complete dismissal of a class-action case against Skechers over its light-up shoes, as well as the pro bono team that “worked with the Lambda Legal Defense Fund to achieve a victory for nonbinary New Yorkers seeking an ‘X’ gender marker on their driver’s license.”
