FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOS ANGELES—March 28, 2019—For the seventh consecutive year, O’Melveny received a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s premier benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.

The 2019 CEI was administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

In addition to a perfect CEI score, O’Melveny also earned the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.

“We are proud that our continued efforts to ensure workplace equality for O’Melveny’s LGBTQ employees have been recognized seven years in a row,” said Mary Ellen Connerty, O’Melveny’s Director of Diversity and Engagement. “At O’Melveny, we believe an inclusive culture is essential to our firm’s success.”

The 2019 CEI evaluated LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation is the educational arm of America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve equity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people. HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work, and in every community.
