LGBT Bar Association of Los Angeles to Honor O’Melveny with Inaugural Partner of the Year Award

Los Angeles—March 7, 2018—The LGBT Bar Association of Los Angeles recognized O’Melveny with its inaugural 2018 Corporate/Government Partner of the Year Award. The LGBT Bar Association will present O’Melveny with the award at its annual gala on April 13, 2018.

The gala will also honor Gavin Grimm, who as a high school student filed a lawsuit against his local school board that ultimately led to a landmark trans rights ruling in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Bet Tzedek, which provides free legal services to low-income individuals.

The Corporate/Government Partner of the Year Award recognizes a community partner that exemplifies, supports, and advances the values and goals of the LGBT Bar Association, including advocating for equal rights for LGBT lawyers, supporting the LGBT community, and advancing LGBT law students and lawyers in the profession. O’Melveny was honored for its LGBT-friendly policies, benefits, active employee networks, recruiting efforts, and culture, as well its pro bono efforts on behalf of LGBT causes.
