FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK—February 28, 2020—O’Melveny has selected partner Madhu Pocha and associate Brooke Jenkins to participate in prestigious 2020 programs with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), an organization of the nation’s top lawyers dedicated to promoting a more diverse and inclusive profession.

Pocha has been named to the LCLD’s Fellows program, which identifies, trains, and advances the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Jenkins has been named to the Pathfinders program, which trains high-performing, early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies, including leadership and the building of professional networks.

“O’Melveny is committed to creating an inclusive environment, where all our lawyers and staff can thrive,” said Mary Ellen Connerty, O’Melveny’s director of diversity and engagement. “We were thrilled to nominate Madhu and Brooke for these fantastic opportunities to expand their leadership skills and their professional networks.”

A trial lawyer with a multidisciplinary practice, Pocha has helped lead O’Melveny’s Century City Diversity, Employment, and Summer Program committees. He also helped spearhead O’Melveny’s Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Academy. Outside of the firm, he serves on the Boards of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California and several community groups. Jenkins, also a litigator, helped lead the Attorneys of Color Network in O’Melveny’s Century City office, where she also served on the Diversity Committee.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The LCLD Pathfinder Program has trained nearly 700 early-career attorneys since 2015, catering to junior lawyers in law firms and corporate legal departments who have demonstrated potential to become future leaders in the legal profession.
