LOS ANGELES, CA - June 18, 2015 - O’Melveny & Myers LLP is pleased to announce that Lawdragon and Human Resource Executive have named four O’Melveny partners to their 2015 Guide to the Most Powerful Employment Lawyers. Eric Amdursky, Apalla Chopra, Jeff Kohn, and Bob Siegel were included in the eighth annual guide, which is the result of hundreds of law firm submissions and editorial research conducted over the past year.
Eric Amdursky, Managing Partner of O’Melveny’s Silicon Valley Office, was named among the Top 40 Up and Comers in Employment Law. Amdursky regularly works on management-crisis consulting and providing advice to clients on employment law issues arising out of venture capital partner disputes, mergers, and acquisitions. He also regularly engages in litigation involving claims of trade secret misappropriation, breach of non-competition/non-solicitation covenants, breach of fiduciary duty, sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation, as well as executive compensation disputes and disputes arising out of mergers, acquisitions and venture capital partnership agreements. O’Melveny’s Firmwide Labor and Employment Practice Chair Apalla Chopra is featured in the guide’s list of the 100 Most Powerful Employment Lawyers. Chopra has extensive experience in all facets of labor and employment issues including strategic employment and labor relations counseling, contract negotiations, internal investigations, and high-stakes litigation. She has represented clients in complex litigation regarding employee allegations of discrimination, wage and hour violations, breach of contract, misrepresentation, fraud, invasion of privacy, and wrongful discharge. Jeff Kohn, Managing Partner of O’Melveny’s New York office, is included in the guide’s list of the 100 Most Powerful Employment Lawyers. Kohn focuses his practice on the litigation and arbitration of a broad range of employment and labor disputes, including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, compensation and employment contract disputes, and trade secret litigation. He also has substantial experience in advising on executive compensation matters and handling compensation disputes. Kohn has handled numerous matters under the National Labor Relations Act and Railway Labor Act for a broad range of clients. He serves many clients as a strategic advisor on labor-management relations, restructuring of operations, and reorganizations in bankruptcy. Recognized among the Top 20 in Traditional Labor & Employment Law, Bob Siegel is a partner in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office and a former Chair of the Firm’s Labor and Employment Practice and Litigation Department. Siegel focuses his practice on representing major companies in federal court litigation under the Railway Labor Act and the National Labor Relations Act, arbitrations, labor negotiations, National Mediation Board and National Labor Relations Board matters, and employment law litigation and counseling.
