O’Melveny Helps Create Law Firm Antiracism Alliance

O’Melveny was among a small group of leading law firms that, in response to the murder of George Floyd and rising incidents of racial injustice, conceived of and formed the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance.

Since its inception, more than 300 law firms from across the country have joined the alliance, which responds to racial inequities in meaningful, long-term ways. Law firms in the alliance have committed to increased efforts to partner with legal services and civil rights organizations to identify and dismantle structural and systemic racism in the law.

O’Melveny is proud to be a co-founder of the organization. O’Melveny Chairman Bradley J. Butwin sits on the LFAA’s Advisory Council and David A. Lash, O’Melveny’s pro bono managing counsel, is a member of the LFAA board of directors.

Many O’Melveny lawyers are leading working groups grappling with vexing issues such as homelessness, access to justice, and police reform. Like other Alliance firms, O’Melveny has made a multi-decade commitment to this work and this organization.
