Cason Cole has a broad range of experience representing technology companies with high-stakes intellectual property matters. On the litigation side, he has worked with clients across all stages of IP cases, including fact and expert discovery, claim construction, dispositive motions, and trial. In addition, he has prosecuted patent applications and conducted pre-suit investigations. Cason has also practiced before the USPTO in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings. Cason’s experience spans a wide array of technologies, including semiconductors, data networking, cellular technologies, medical devices, oil and gas equipment, and financial services software.

Cason’s experience as a law clerk to Chief Judge Rodney Gilstrap in the Eastern District of Texas gives him a unique insight into patent litigation procedure and trial practice. During the clerkship, Cason assisted with over a dozen patent infringement jury trials, as well as dozens of pretrial conferences, claim construction hearings, and other motions hearings. Cason now leverages this experience to strategically navigate litigation in courts throughout the country and secure the best possible outcome for clients.

Before law school, Cason worked in the transportation industry as a civil engineer, where he gained significant experience managing high-impact projects, complex teams, and scarce resources.
