Elena Zarabozo is an associate in O’Melveny’s Washington, DC office, and a member of the firm’s Financial Services group. She focuses her practice on consumer financial services issues, advising financial institutions in connection with litigation and regulatory inquiries. In this capacity, she has guided a major national bank client through two investigations conducted by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and helped to obtain a favorable settlement in connection with a challenge to a bank’s mortgage lending practices. Elena also has significant experience litigating ERISA and healthcare cases, as well as advising health insurers on regulatory compliance matters.

Elena maintains an active pro bono practice spanning a wide variety of issues, including representing a client before the Virginia Parole Board, advising a non-profit organization on governance and other issues, and obtaining a favorable verdict for her client after a two-day trial in a custody dispute.
