Ethan Hicks is a litigation associate who has represented venture capital firms, financial institutions, corporations, and corporate officers and directors in high-stakes disputes involving corporate governance, breaches of fiduciary duty, complex contractual disputes, books-and-records inspection demands, and other commercial litigation. Ethan has represented leading clients in the entertainment and technology sectors with intellectual property disputes, including trademark, trade secret, and copyright infringement actions. He has also advised global leaders in entertainment, gaming, and hospitality on data privacy, including the collecting and sharing of game player data, and on policies and procedures related to the implementation of a global rewards program spanning over 100 countries.

Ethan maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes representing clients in civil rights litigation and assisting survivors of domestic violence in administrative proceedings. He is also a member of the Silicon Valley Office’s Diversity Committee.

Prior to joining O’Melveny, Ethan was a Division I collegiate athlete and later worked as a Special Education teacher for the Yolo County Office of Education.
