Jeff Baxter is a versatile intellectual property litigator whose practice encompasses patent, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and trade secrets. Jeff has extensive experience representing clients in complex matters including patent litigation, patent reexamination, trade secret litigation, patent portfolio development, and technology licensing. Jeff helps companies identify and protect their intellectual property and avoid risks posed by other companies’ intellectual property.

Jeff’s litigation work has included pre-suit investigations, claim construction proceedings, fact discovery, expert discovery, summary judgment proceedings, bench trials, jury trials and appeals to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Jeff has litigated in courts throughout the country, including the Eastern District of Texas, the Northern District of Texas, the Northern District of California, Central District of California, the District of Delaware, and the Northern District of Illinois.

Jeff is versed in a wide array of technologies, including semiconductors, data networking, cellular technologies, medical technologies, and other hardware and software products. Specific technologies include power factor correction, voltage regulators, flip chips, on-chip capacitators, microcontrollers, optical networks, Wi-Fi, wireless modems, wireline networks, cellular technologies, voice over IP, blood glucose meters, electric stimulation leads, laparoscopic surgical equipment, antennas, lens, smartphone technologies, e-discovery software, encryption software, authentication and authorization systems, systems for managing software installation and updates, electronic systems for trading of future contracts, and systems for providing emergency services.
