John Curran is a partner in the Corporate Finance practice and is based in O’Melveny’s Singapore office. He has a broad range of experience advising private equity sponsors, strategic investors, corporates, arrangers, and credit funds on a variety of financing transactions across the Asia Pacific region, with a particular focus on cross-border acquisition and leveraged financings throughout Southeast Asia and India. He counsels credit funds and has deep experience in the private credit space. He also has extensive experience advising sponsors, corporates, and private credit clients on investments in special situations involving stressed or distressed companies.
- Advent International on a common refinancing in relation to two of its portfolio companies, Suven Pharmaceuticals Limited and Cohance Lifesciences Limited, both pharmaceutical companies in India.
- Warburg Pincus on the debt financing in connection with its majority stake in Imperial Auto Industries Limited, India's largest manufacturer of fluid transmission products.
- PAG Asia Capital Limited on the debt financing for its acquisition of Manjushree Technopack, an Indian rigid plastic packaging company, from Advent International.
- TPG and General Atlantic on the debt financing for their bid for AGS Health.
- PAG Asia Capital Limited on the debt financing aspects in connection with its investment in Nuvama Wealth Management Limited, an Indian financial services company.

- Advent International on the debt financing for its acquisition of Suven Pharmaceuticals Limited, an Indian listed pharmaceutical company, and subsequent upsize and amendments.
- Apax Partners on the portability related amendments and subsequent sale of Healthium Medtech to KKR. This is the first sale by a private equity sponsor in India using a portability feature in a financing.
- A consortium of sponsors, including PAG Asia Capital Limited on the debt financing in connection with the acquisition of Sekhmet Pharmaventures Private Limited, a pharmaceutical investment platform based in India.
- Bain Capital in connection with its acquisition of Porus Labs, a manufacturer of agricultural and specialty chemicals based in India.
- EQT Private Capital Asia on debt financing aspects in relation to its investment in Coforge Limited, an India-headquartered digital IT solutions & technology consulting services provider, and subsequent exit by EQT.
- EQT Private Capital Asia on a bank facility for the recapitalization and refinancing of certain existing facilities of its portfolio company CitiusTech Holdco B.V., the holding company of CitiusTech Healthcare Technology Private Limited, a provider of consulting and digital technology to healthcare and life sciences companies based in India.
- Platinum Equity on the debt financing for its acquisition of a controlling stake in Hop Lun, an international fashion lingerie and swimwear company and multiple subsequent bolt-on acquisitions.
- KKR on the debt financing aspects in connection with its investment in Ness Digital Engineering, a global full-lifecycle digital services transformation company.
- Advent International on a margin loan financing in connection with its investment in Yes Bank, a private sector bank in India.
- Blackstone Real Estate Partners on a margin loan financing in connection with its investment in Nexus Select Trust REIT, India’s first retail REIT.
- Advent International on the financing aspects in connection with its investment in Quest Global Services Pte. Ltd, an engineering services company based in Singapore, and Advent’s subsequent exit.
