Kathryn Turner is a counsel in O’Melveny’s Project Development & Real Estate group. She provides customized counsel and strategy to clients regarding the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, operation, and management of all types of commercial real estate assets. Kathryn has significant experience representing borrowers in secured financing transactions, including mortgage and mezzanine loan originations, modifications and workouts.  

Kathryn’s unique industry experience also includes large-scale project finance, infrastructure development, and public-private partnership transactions where she advises clients on major transportation infrastructure assets.

When not working, Kathryn enjoys running marathons and hiking with her husband and flat-coated retriever, Hazy.

  • Counseled a large owner, operator, and developer of major retail properties in multiple financing transactions totaling more than US$400 million
  • Represented government agency in transportation sector in refinancing of more than US$700 million in outstanding bond obligations, in complex transaction involving a tender offer and the issuance of multiple series of bonds
  • Advised major airline in financing of new baggage handling system at Houston airport (US$289 million in revenue bonds)
