Lauren Averill is an associate and a member of the Litigation Department. She defends companies in complex civil litigation matters, including those involving employment discrimination, retaliation, unfair competition, and trade secret misappropriation. Lauren also conducts investigations into charges of harassment and other employee misconduct.

Prior to joining O’Melveny, Lauren earned her degree cum laude in 2021 from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where she was a Research Fellow for Professor Henry Weinstein’s First Year Lawyering Skills course. While in law school, Lauren served as a Judicial Extern with the United States District Court for the Central District of California and as a Legal Intern for the ACLU of Southern California.
