Sal employs a people-first approach to practice and is best known for his ability to readily absorb and distill the facts of each case. He is a versatile litigator with broad experience across entertainment, employment, copyright, and insurance matters, including in a number of high-profile disputes:
- Representing Disney against California Labor Code claims asserted by actress Gina Carano relating to The Mandalorian
- Represented Marvel in a series of copyright termination litigations involving some of Marvel’s most iconic characters
- Defended World Wrestling Entertainment in lawsuit brought by a former writer alleging federal and state retaliation and discrimination claims
- Defended Envoy Air in resolving ADA and state discrimination claims brought by company driver at LaGuardia Airport
- Representing insurers in various Illinois coverage disputes concerning environmental liabilities
- Represented insurers at the intersection of insurance and bankruptcy law, including In re Boy Scouts of America and In re Imerys Talc America.
- Representing cryptocurrency company in New York commercial litigation
Sal also dedicates his time to the community, providing pro bono representation to an indigent client under the Criminal Justice Act, volunteering on various NYC-based nonprofit boards, and serving as a mentor with the New York State Mentoring Program.
