Sarah Throop is an asset management corporate counsel in O’Melveny’s Austin office. Sarah advises clients on private equity fund formation and fund restructurings, including operational, governance, compliance and regulatory considerations. Sarah also assists and advises institutional investors in connection with investments in various types of alternative asset classes, including fund investments, co-investments, strategic joint-ventures and separately managed accounts. Sarah has experience advising investment committees on conflicts of interest and other general corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Sarah gained extensive in-house experience as general counsel and chief compliance officer for a leading private credit investor in lower to middle-market companies.
