O’Melveny counsel John Dermody joined Arthur Traldi and host Adam Pearlman to discuss how the Wagner Group, a private military contractor with close ties to Russia, should be classified. The Wagner Group “has been linked to countless human rights abuses and destabilizing efforts across the globe. The group is now raising speculation in Sudan as they acquire resources to aid Russia's efforts in the war in Ukraine.” The podcast team also discussed whether the Wagner Group should be considered a Foreign Terrorist Organization, and the recent ICC charges against Putin.
The NSL Today is a weekly podcast from the ABA Standing Committee on Law and National Security brings together attorneys, legal experts, and thought leaders to explore current national security issues and possible future legal trends.
