ABA Antitrust Law Spring Meeting: High Technology Deals: Are New Standards Warranted?

Ian Simmons, co-chair of O’Melveny’s Antitrust & Competition Practice, will be moderating the panel “High Technology Deals: Are New Standards Warranted” at the ABA’s 2021 Antitrust Law Spring Meeting. The four-day virtual meeting will connect experts from across the world with fellow practitioners in competition, consumer protection, and data privacy law.

Simmons will guide an in-depth discussion among panelists Asheesh Agarwal, Deputy General Counsel and Competition Counsel at TechFreedom; Diana L. Moss, President of the American Antitrust Institute; The Honorable Noah J. Phillips, Commissioner at the Federal Trade Commission; and Timothy Wu, Professor of Law, Science, and Technology at Columbia Law School.

With 29 years of experience in antitrust litigation, Simmons has been lead counsel in more than 32 multi-district litigation antitrust proceedings and has achieved precedent-setting results. He has argued before the US Court of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fourth, Seventh and Ninth Circuits and the highest courts in New York and South Dakota, and has tried seven cases to verdict.
