O’Melveny is one of 55 US-based law firms recognized by the publication for "its level of disclosure of diversity-related metrics and distinguished performance against six core pillars: demographics, leadership and talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, business innovation and strategy, marketing, and diversity and inclusion in the community."
Bloomberg Law’s full DEI Framework report is available here.
“We are honored to be recognized by Bloomberg Law,” said Darin Snyder, O’Melveny’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion partner. “Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is one of the firm’s strategic priorities. It contributes to our ability to innovate, to provide stellar service in support of our clients, and to fostering a sense of belonging for everyone at the firm.”
O’Melveny’s commitment to advancing inclusivity in the legal profession contributed to the firm’s DEI Framework scores—which exceeded industry averages—across all six of Bloomberg Law’s core pillars:

- General Firm Demographics: 87 (average 54)
- Business Innovation and Strategy: 85 (average 62)
- Recruitment and Retention: 70 (average 54)
- Marketing and Diversity & Inclusion in the Community: 68 (average 67)

“We were pleased to note our ‘general firm demographics’ score well-exceeded the average firm by 33 points, providing evidence that prioritizing DE&I can be a true differentiator,” said Daniel Suvor, partner and member of O’Melveny’s Firmwide DE&I Committee. “We continue to make progress towards our DE&I goals and are grateful to Bloomberg Law for its encouragement as we forge ahead.”
“Through a demonstrated commitment to DEI, O’Melveny is helping to move the legal industry forward and we’re pleased to recognize their performance,” said Joe Breda, president, Bloomberg Law.
