O’Melveny Practices, Lawyers Highly Ranked by The Legal 500 US 2021

LOS ANGELES—June 28, 2021—O’Melveny’s leading practices and lawyers have been recognized by the 2021 edition of The Legal 500: United States, a guide to the US legal market.
The Legal 500 recognized 9 lawyers in its “Hall of Fame,” which highlights individuals who are “at the pinnacle of the profession” and who have “received constant praise from their clients for continued excellence.” This year’s “Hall of Fame” designees are Brian Anderson, Brian Boyle, Apalla Chopra, Walter Dellinger, Richard Goetz, Luc Moritz, Daniel Petrocelli, John Rapisardi, and Tancred Schiavoni.
This year’s guide also ranks the firm in 40 practice areas and recognizes 20 individuals as “leading” or “next generation” lawyers. The Legal 500 defines “leading” lawyers as those viewed as “stand out partners.” Its “next generation” designation recognizes “up-and-coming” lawyers.
In its special feature on “Leading Trial Lawyers,” the Legal 500 once again highlighted Daniel Petrocelli, chair of O’Melveny’s Trial Practice Committee. The Legal 500 hailed Petrocelli’s “phenomenal reputation in media and entertainment disputes,” noting his recent complete victory for HBO, Top Rank and Manny Pacquiao, among other high-profile disputes.
