H2O Women Conference: From Conflict to Collaboration: Groundwater Adjudication and Sustainability in the Post-SGMA World

October 4, 2024

O’Melveny counsel Heather Welles will be a guest speaker at the 2024 H20 Women Conference. The event “showcases leading women professionals from diverse industries throughout the water space, presenting and facilitating thought-provoking discussions about the most pressing water issues and topics, while providing intentional opportunities for networking, collaboration and recharging with other “H2O Women.” Heather Welles’ panel will discuss groundwater adjudication and sustainability in the post-SGMA world, existing and potential areas of conflict, and collaborative opportunities.

Heather Welles pairs litigation and appellate success at the highest levels with substantive expertise in water, a field of growing importance to even the largest companies. Heather’s briefs have repeatedly carried the day in federal and state trial and appellate courts and arbitrations, including merits, certiorari, and amicus briefing at the US Supreme Court. A founding member of O’Melveny’s formal water practice, Heather regularly speaks on water issues, including guest lecturing at Harvard, NYU, and UCLA law schools.
