LOS ANGELES—April 29, 2025—O’Melveny partners George C. Demos and Brittany Rogers have been named 2025 California Legal Award honorees by The Recorder and Law.com.
Demos, who serves as O’Melveny’s Chief Operating Officer, has been lauded as a “Distinguished Leader” for his dedicated stewardship of the firm’s Living Well initiatives, among his many other achievements. Demos oversees all facets of the firm’s business operations, with a focus on O’Melveny maintaining its innovative position within the legal profession. He is a member of the firm’s leadership team, which develops and implements O’Melveny’s strategic plans. Demos also leads the firm’s Living Well program and is a recognized champion of wellbeing in the legal industry. Demos is the founder of O’Melveny’s Health Care and Life Sciences Practice and has represented major health care organizations in litigation, transactions, and complex regulatory matters throughout the course of his career.
Rogers, a Securities Litigation partner based in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office, has been recognized as a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” for her numerous litigation successes as a standout young partner. Rogers defends companies and their officers and directors in high profile lawsuits in state and federal court. Her diverse practice spans securities litigation, corporate governance disputes, and complex business litigation, with a particular emphasis on securities class actions, derivative suits, and fiduciary duty litigation. She has an impressive track record of obtaining early dismissals in securities matters and successfully defending clients who face multiple overlapping lawsuits in different jurisdictions.
